Description
English: Major Ichikawa, commanding officer of the 3rd Battalion, 215th Infantry Regiment, was the first war criminal to be tried at Rangoon. He was accused, with 13 of his men, of killing 600 inhabitants of the village of Kalagan, a few miles to the east of Moulmein.
日本語: 市川清義少佐、一九四五年七月八日頃にカラゴン村で発生した住民虐殺事件 (モールメン・カラゴン村敵性住民討伐事件)で、当時、第三三師団歩兵第二一五連隊第三大隊長であつた市川少佐は、一九四六年四月一〇日に絞首刑の判決を受け、七月一五日に執行された (資料: 岩根 承成 「ＢＣ級戦犯裁判にみるビルマ・カラゴン村事件 ―裁かれた高崎 215 連隊―」 共愛学園前橋国際大学論集、Vol. 7)
