Description

The Chinese Han Jiang Ancestral Temple in Georgetown, built in 1870.

What was remarkable about Georgetown was that in 10 blocks and 1 square km we passed religious centres for both Chinese Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian temples, both Tamil and Malay Muslim Mosques, Tamil Hindu temples, and both Protestant and Catholic Christian Churches. Nowhere have I seen so many religions going about their days side-by-side in so tightly packed a space.
