Description
English: Back to Lake Tanganyika. National alcoholic beverage Malovu is distilled from the palm seeds, and is deceivingly perfect-milk-white which makes you think it would be tasty. This lady, in the heart of Marché Quatre-Coins, acceded to sell me a glass full of it, although she normally only sells this in recycled bottles for a takeaway purpose. I was up for a pub-fashioned drinking experience after all, and I had to try that liquid in a glass quantity before buying a bottle, right? I sat down with Jean-Claude on one of the crowded benches under the thatch and sipped slowly, surrounded by noisy drinkers, and I'm happy for having done it this way: The alcohol percentage is arguably something between 25 and 40 and some men were rolling down outside drunken. The taste is very irregular, I could say repulsive. But the local-pub task was done.
Français : Vente de Malovu.
