Piazza Regina is a fine square wherein is a statue of Queen Victoria, erected in 1887 to commemorate Her Majesty's Jubilee. On one side is the Public Library founded by Bailiff T.G. de Tencin, built during the Grand Mastership of Rohan, and finally established in 1811. It contains a magnificent collection of 50,000 volumes, some of which may be had on loan.
