Jackson moved his camera above Cupid Spring to photograph the scene looking south toward Bunsen Peak. The area where Thomas Moran is pictured seated on the fissured ridge in Jackson's image has crumbled away. Anthony's Entrance is at center between the two ridges of travertine. Jackson's photo point for No. 223 is visible on the ridge to the viewer's right of Anthony's Entrance. The boardwalk at right is the same one pictured in the contemporary photo of No. 223 and is also the photo point for No. 222. Bradly J. Boner; August 17, 2016 |
