English: "This was Harry Kowa as he “bled” a patient in order to obtain much needed blood plasma in the Segbwema, Sierra Leone clinic. In 1977, the CDC traveled to Sierra Leone to participate in a Lassa Fever Research Project. The study included general activities in Sierra Leone, at both the Kenema Laboratory, and in Segbwema."
