Română: Manastirea Varatec, unul dintre cele mai cunoscute si mai vizitate monumente ale judetului Neamt, este situata intr-o mica depresiune de la poalele muntilor, adapostita de culmea Dealul Mare, la o altitudine care nu depaseste 460 m. Printre ctitorii acestui asezamant nu aflam nici nume voievodale si nici pe cele ale unor mari dregatori ai tarii. Manastirea a luat fiinta in 1781-1785 prin osardia maicii starete Olimpiada (fiica unui preot din Iasi), la sfatul renumitului staret Paisie Velicikovski de la manastirea Neamt si cu binecuvantarea Mitropolitului Gavriil Calimachi.
