English: Manchester: former Mayfield station, from Piccadilly station Mayfield station served as a relief station for Piccadilly from 1910 to 1960 and subsequently as a parcels depot before complete closure in 1986. It remains unused. It is seen here from the southernmost platform of Piccadilly station - that serving the through lines west towards Oxford Road - to which it was previously linked by a footbridge. |
