Description
Two sided copper painting, with The Continence of Scipio on one side and an Allegory of Nature on the other side. Because the Allegory of Nature shows traces of wear and tear it is thought that the copper plate originally served as a cabinet door, with the Allegory of Nature on the outside and The Continence of Scipio on the inside of the cabinet.
