Iodine compound paint contains 0.31g of iodine and 0.62g of potassium iodine with mentha oil, water and 90% alcohol in glycerine base.      Mandl's paint shown in the picture was prepared in a slightly altered manner different from what is given in the description and source; 1.25% iodine and 2.5% potassium iodide(Source:Compounding Today. Retrieved on 19 November 2017.) was dissolved in a solution of isopropyl alcohol and glycerol with few drop of peppermint oil.
