English: Mangotsfield railway station, Bristol Opened in 1869 by the Midland Railway at the junction of the Bristol to Bath Green Park line (right hand platforms), and the Bristol to Birmingham line (left hand platforms). This large station replaced an earlier one some 800m to the east. In turn, it closed in 1966. View east. Of the 6 original platform faces, 3 are still extant. It was still a junction when this image was taken, this time for cycle tracks. |
