- Kvædfjord 1890 - (92), Trondhjem 1893 - 1907 m. adr. Nordre Gd. 6 og Olav Tryggvasonsgd. 19. f. i Kvædfjord 21.9.1865 - d. i Trondhjem 3.6.1936, ugift. Gikk i lære hos fetteren Lars Bach i Stenkjær 1888 - 90, ble så selvstendig fotograf på hjemstedet samtidig som han var huslærer for prestens barn. Etter en tid som huslærer på Borkenes kom han i 1893 til Trondhjem, hvor han startet forretning i Nordre Gade 6, hvor Krum hadde hatt atelier. Ifølge opplysninger fra fotograf Eilif Schrøder (d. 1976), overtok han også Krums firma, som han hadde startet i 1860 (1865) og drevet til sin død i 1882, hvoretter det ble drevet videre av enken til 1892. Det later til at han også har overtatt Jul. Frøseths firma, for han kalte seg "Frøseths Efterfølger (Ludvig M. Bach)", men brukte også signaturen "Ludv. Bach" eller bare "Bach". Også signaturen "M. Bach, Frøseths Eftfl., Olav Tryggvasonsgd. 19" forekommer, muligens Marit Bach (Back) som var ansatt hos Frøseth og antakelig var søster av Ludvig M. B. Sannsynligvis overtok de firmaet sammen. I 1907 klarte han ikke å drive firmaet lenger, og det ble overtatt av hans assistent gjennom 9 år, Alf Schrøder, som fortsatte firmaet til sin død i 1951. Det ble da overtatt av hans to barn, Eilif og Rachel. Etter Eilifs død i 1976 drives firmaet videre av Rachel S. med Arnold Stendahl som disponent. Bach fortsatte som fotoforhandler fra 1908, først hos Simon Engen og fra 1921 med eget firma til 1933. Han var også en dyktig kunstmaler.
