Description
English: The family Mannerheim from Finland came to a fork in the Östergötland countryside, where the brother of the forthcoming Finnish Marshal - Johan Mannerheim - became landlords of the castle Grensholm in Vånga parish 1904th. Mannerheim's family grave is next to the remains of Vånga medieval church. Gustaf Mannerheim was an annual guest at Grensholm and when his brother John's death in autumn 1934 celebrated his memory at the grave of Vånga cemetery and spent the reminder of the efforts of Finland, as John did in 1918. What Johan Mannerheim also received the Freedom Cross of the first class 1918th.
