Description
English: Map of the Island of Martha's Vineyard with its Dependencies

Single sheet. Engraving. Scale: circa1:200 000; bar scale in English miles. Ungraduated. Sparse soundings and shallows.The map shows Martha's Vineyard, Chappaquiddick Island, Elizabeth Islands and the adjacent coast of Massachusetts. Text entirely in English. The map was published in the English edition of 'Letters from an American Farmer', by J. Hector St John de Crevecoeur (the author's name was anglicised by omitting 'de Crevecoeur' in the English edition). It was printed on page 160, to accompany Letter VI, Description of the Island of Martha's Vineyard, and of the Whale Fishery.
