Español: Retrato de la reina María Cristina de Borbón-Dos Sicilias (1806-1878), que fue la cuarta esposa del rey Fernando VII de España y regente de este reino durante la minoría de edad de su hija, la reina Isabel II. Y conviene señalar que esta obra guarda un gran parecido con el retrato de la misma reina que se se conserva en el Museo del Prado (núm. 870 b), aunque hay diferencias en algunos detalles accesorios y en la menor soltura técnica, lo ha llevado a algunos autores a considerar que Bernardo López Piquer, que era hijo del pintor Vicente López Portaña y colaborador suyo en la realización de numerosos retratos, tal vez intervino en este lienzo.
