English: Marble altar, 194/93 BC. Found in the Ancient Agora, Athens. This altar is made of Pentelic marble and the podium of a Hymettan marble. According to the inscription on the front, the altar was dedicated by the Athenian Council (Boule) to Aphrodite Hegemone and the Graces. National Archaeological Museum of Athens 1495.
Čeština: Mramorový oltář, 194/93 před n. l. nalezený na Staré agorře v Athénách. Je z pentelského mramoru, podstavec z hymetského. Podle nápisu na přední straně athénská rada (Búlé) oltář věnovala Afrodítě Hegemoné a Charitkám. Národní archeologické muzeum v Athénách, 1495. |
