Video document of the March in Los Angeles Against Trump! on Saturday November 12, 2016. Thousands of people took to the streets of L.A. to voice their rage over the election of Donald Trump. The success of a presidential candidate whose campaign was rooted in white supremacy, misogyny, xenophobia, and all-around bigotry has left millions of Americans in horror at the ascension of a fascist leader to the most powerful office in the country. After stirring up violence and hatred toward almost every minority group in America, the President Elect has tweeted to his league of easily incensed followers that the protests against him are "Very unfair!" Starting in MacArthur Park, the march progressed down Wilshire Blvd into Downtown Los Angeles, ending at the US Federal Building. The protesters, estimated to be close to 10,000, included people from all races and walks of life. Brown people ("bad hombres"), black people, "nasty" women, queers, immigrants, disabled people, and trans people were just some of the groups marching in solidarity, along with white allies-- many of whom are finally awakening to the true depths of racism and misogyny in America.
