English: Marchnad Sul Pwllheli Sunday Market After years of campaigning a third application to hold a local traders' Sunday market on Y Maes was finally accepted. Previously strong Sabbatarian opposition from Chapel and Church groups had led to permission being withheld.
Dwyfor was the last area in Wales to eventually vote for Sunday opening of pubs, as recently as 1996. In the event the local traders who attended were two potters, two plant stalls, a cheesemaker, a free range egg seller and a burger stall.
