| Description |
English: Marchwood Incinerator Seen from west of the lake within Marchwood Industrial Park. The white building in front of the incinerator is part of Marchwood Power Station which was under construction at the time of photographing. Left to right in front of the white building is East road, one of the principal access roads within the park. Hampshire County Council states that the domed shaped of the incinerator is purely for aesthetic reasons, because it helps to make the incinerator acceptable to the public, and that adopting this shape raised the capital cost of the incinerator by 25%. |
