Italiano: "L'iconografia della madama reale Maria Giovanna Battista di Savoia Nemours (1644-1724) nelle vesti di Diana trova un illustre modello nell' incisione di A. De Pienne su disegno di G. F. Sacchetti, pagata nel 1673, per il noto volume "Venaria Reale Palazzo Di Piacere, e di Caccia, Ideato Dall'Altezza Reale di Carlo Emanuele II... " (1674, ma 1679). Nel dipinto di Palazzo Reale, ma proveniente dal Castello di Moncalieri (Sala degli Staffieri), la duchessa però non indossa l'abito da cacciatrice come invece nell'incisione e tiene soltanto un arco in mano. Il ritratto è attribuito dalla critica a pittore francese, come quello che la ritrae seduta conservato al Museo Civico di Palazzo Madama (inv. 357)" [1] |
