Summary edit

Description R. Lee “Gunny” Ermey speaks to fellow participants of the Marine Corps Identity Cause rally at Bullfeathers of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Feb. 25, 2010. Marine Corps Identity Cause is a grassroots effort founded in 2009 to give Marines equal status to the Navy. The initiative, sponsored by the Marine Corps League, has one simple goal: to change the name of the Department of the Navy to the “Department of the Navy and Marine Corps.” Two bills supporting this cause are currently in Congress.
