Description

"May 1968: On Line: Leathernecks of 1st Platoon, G Company, 2d Battalion, 7th Marines [G/2/7] move up to assault enemy positions on line during Operation Allen Brook near Da Nang. Sweeping through an area of thick underbrush, Golf Company battled a large number of uniformed North Vietnamese Army (NVA) regulars in reinforced bunkers and spider holes. More than ten M-48 medium tanks supported the operation (official USMC photo by Corporal R. J. Del Vecchio)."
