日本語: 東石郡朴子街の市場。朴子街は人口一萬の小都會であるが，寶暦四年（康熙二十四年）泉州の林馬なる者が媽祖を奉戴して此地に移住して以來，媽祖廟は配天宮と稱し，北港の朝天宮に亞いで土民の信仰を集めてゐるが，每年舊一月十五日に盛な燈花の儀が行はれる。この祭禮の時に遠方から來る外來者の集合は各地の生產物を交換する好機會を作り，定期的集合は當然に商取引の中心となった。此處では豚、牛、雞、家鴨、卵、甘薯、蕃薯簽（ハンッウチャム）、南京豆、織物、金銀細工等の市場が榮える。寫真中央に白く見えるのは祭禮用の軒提灯である。こっに所謂「市の立たない大きなお祭もなければお祭のない市もない」ことを立證してゐる。（並河亮，文化學院教授）
