Description

Le Panier | Rue de la Charité The Vieille Charité is a building built in the 17th-Century by Pierre Puget which planned to house the needy and the poors in the city. The ensemble has been heavily renovated in 1960 to 1980, it is now one of the cultural institutions of the City of Marseille.

It houses the Mediterranean Archaeology Museum and the Museum of African, Oceanic and Native American Arts.
