Illustration of the funeral procession in London of French anarchist Martial Bourdin. Hundreds of people protested Bourdin's brief burial. Many anarchists and mourners who attempted to attend were violently prevented by the police. The original newspaper caption reads "Blocking the road to clear the way. When any ugly rush was attempted the police flung themselves across the road and blocked the way to all and sundry"
