Summary

edit
Description
English: a c. 1930 marker of the borderline between Delta, Pennsylvan1a and Cardiff, Maryland. The border is generally known as the Mason-Dixon Line. Notice that the marker is on the west side of Main Street meaning that Pennsylvania is north (to the right) and Maryland is to the left (south). The inscriptions are reversed, apparantly for motorists who would see that they are arriving in PA while still in MD if driving north, and vice versa if driving south. The marker is in two distinct historic districts, the Delta Historic District in York County, Pennsylvania and the Whiteford-Cardiff Historic District in Harford County, Maryland, both on the NRHP.
