Deutsch: Die Woodford und Phillips Quelle auf der Farm von James S. Tarr.

Woodburytypie eines Fotos von Mather, Titusville, Pa.

Die Woodford Quelle befindet sich links, die Phillips Quelle rechts im Bild. Aus der Woodford Quelle sprüht das Rohöl unkontrolliert nach oben, das Öl der Phillips Quelle fließt in ein Haltebecken links vor dem Bohrturm. Beide Quellen wurden im September 1861 erschlossen.

Im Vordergrund linksseitig mit dem weißen zylinderartigen Hut mit dunkler Binde steht James S. Tarr.
