Description |
The Schooner Astrid of Esbjerg was built in 1879 in Seedorf a. R. The only "Seedorf a. R." found by the uploader was Seedorf on Rügen, which housed the well established shipyard of Joachim Christian Krüger. So he was probably the builder. Her original name was Gustava. In September 1893 she was bought by a shipping partnership in Esbjerg, Denmark, led by H. Pagh & I. Qvist-Pedersen. Her Danish career was short. In the addendum to the Danish 1895 ship list it was noted that she had been lost. As the addendum was dated on July 1, 1895 she was probably lost in the first half of that year.
