Mauerbiene auf Nistholzscheit

Das Foto entstand in Eckernförde im Garten meiner Eltern. Dort sind seit dem letzten Jahr mehrere Baumscheiben aufgehängt, in die etliche Löcher gebohrt sind. Im letzten Jahr war das Holz wahrscheinlich noch zu feucht und nur einzelne Löcher waren belegt. Aber dieses Jahr haben mehrere Mauerbienen bereits über 30 Löcher zum Nisten genutzt und "zugemauert". Auf dem Bild ist eine Mauerbiene neben einem solchen Loch zu sehen. Das Bohrloch hat einen Durchmesser von 10 mm und kann daher als Größenvergelich dienen.
