English: Mayor Menino Addressing the Teens
Mayor Menino talks about his first job. _______________ Project YES Summer Tour Kickoff (St. Peter's): May 2010 On May 5, 2010, Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley announced that her office's Project YES Initiative has allocated an additional $100,000 from settlement funds to 16 grant recipients in order that they hire additional youth for the summer. Over the two year span of these grants, this additional funding will allow the AGO to provide 229 youth jobs in an investment totaling $1.6 million. The event was held at the Catholic Charities of Boston Teen Center at St. Peter's. Project YES teens and program staff from the six other Boston area grant sites joined the St. Peter's teens and community members for the annoucement. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley joined the Attorney General in addressing the teens. |
