Description
English: McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom II jet fighter displayed at the Museum of Aviation in Košice, Slovakia. Manufactured by the American aviation company McDonnell Douglas between 1957 and 1981, the F-4 Phantom II was part of the inventory of many countries' air forces, including of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Japan, South Korea and Australia. It currently still remains in service in Greece, Iran, South Korea and Turkey. The F-4 Phantom II was the most numerous supersonic jet fighter ever produced by the United States, numbering almost 5.200 specimens, in many variants. The preserved specimen shown here is a former German Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom II.

Vyrábaná americkou spoločnosťou McDonnell Douglas v rokoch 1958-1981, F-4 Phantom II bola súčasťou vzdušných síl mnohých krajín, vrátane Spojených štátov, Spojeného kráľovstva, Nemecka, Španielska, Grécka, Turecka, Egypta, Iránu, Japonska, Južnej Kórey a Austrálie. F-4 Phantom II bol najpočetnejšie vyrábanou nadzvukovou prúdovou stíhačkou v dejinách Spojených štátov, počtom dosahoval takmer 5200 kusov, v rôznych variantoch. Tu vystavený zachovaný exemplár je bývalý McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom II nemeckých vzdušných síl.
