Español: Las Hurdes constituyen un espacio natural situado al norte de la provincia de Cáceres, en la vertiente meridional de la Sierra de Francia (sector occidental del Sistema Central Español). Se caracteriza por un relieve abrupto, desarrollado en materiales paleozoicos, fundamentalmente metasedimentarios. La red fluvial realiza un fuerte encajamiento en este sustrato dando lugar a espacios singulares de alto valor paisajístico y ecológico.
English: Las Hurdes is a natural area located north of the province of Cáceres, on the southern slope of the Sierra de Francia (western sector of the Spanish Central System). It is characterized by an abrupt relief, developed in Paleozoic materials, fundamentally metasedimentary. The fluvial network makes a strong fit in this substrate giving rise to singular spaces of high landscape and ecological value.
