Description
Lietuvių: 2018 metų vasario 16 dieną dalis nuolatinių Mėčiūnų gyventojai, minėdami ir švęsdami atkurtos Lietuvos valstybės šimtmetį, nuturė turėti savo kaimo vėliavą, kurios geltoname fone, viršuje ir apačioje apribotame žalios spalvos juostomis, pavaizduotas žalios spalvos daugiašakis (Skrabulių) ąžuolas, po kurio laja matosi pilkšvos spalvos medvarlės ir paukščio kukučio, Mėčiūnuose dažnai sutinkamų gyvūnų rūšių, siluetai. Centrinėje vėliavos dalyje, po Skrabulių ažuolu, trys banguotos linijos simbolizuoja tris Mėčiūnų ežerus - Ančią, Šventaduonės ir Samanių. Intensyvi geltona vėliavos spalva simbolizuoja vakaro žarą, kuri Mėčiūnus gražiai "nudažo" vakarais.
