Deutsch: Die Vorderseite zeigt eine Büste Stickels im Profil nach links. Umgeben wird sie von seinem Namen und Geburtsdatum in latinisierter Form. Am unteren Rand verweist "G. LOOS Berlin" auf die Prägestätte.
Die Rückseite wird von einem lateinischen Text eingenommen, die seine Stellung als Direktor des orientalischen Münzkabinetts in Jena hervorhebt und das Prägejahr nennt. Oben wird sie von einem Stern, unten von zwei überkreuzten Zweigen begrenzt.
English: The front side depicts a bust of Stickel surrounded by his name and date of birth in Latinised form. At the bottom of the medal on the rim the place of coinage is named as "G LOOS Berlin".
The back side names his profession as head of the oriental numismatic collection in Jena and year of coinage. Above a star, below crossed branches have been placed. |
