English: Members from The Wiki for Minorities Group, in a Conference with The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), in Nigeria, on modus operandi and collaborative modalities.

This collaboration was consolidated when volunteers from Wiki for Minorities Group, under the Wikimedia Foundation, paid a visit to JONAPWD National Secretariat on 16th of November 2023.

JONAPWD, the umbrella organization of Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria, works towards achieving a society where equality, social justice, and the rights of Persons with Disabilities are guaranteed. This vision which is largely driven through specific projects, advocacy, and partnerships with relevant stakeholders, remains mostly under-reported.

Wiki for Minorities is an initiative that arises in the line of collaborative work for the protection of cultural rights, the preservation and dissemination of expressions of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of cultural minorities which includes Persons with Disabilities.

The collaboration with Wiki for Minorities will improve our visibility, ideologies, vision and mission in the open space
