Summary edit
DescriptionMembers of the Tongass National Forest Leadership Team.jpg |
English: Members of the Tongass National Forest Leadership Team listen to Owen James, Canoe Captain Puller for the Hoonah Indian Association, as he explains the story behind the artwork of a totem in Hoonah, Alaska. The pole tells the history of the Huna Kaawu, and also represents the healing process between the tribe and the federal government (Glacier Bay National Park). The Tongass Leadership Team was in Hoonah for a week-long meeting, but was also able to experience some of the rich history and culture of the area. |
