English: Memorial stone dedicated to the persons who lost their life through the so called „storm“ in Goldegg-Weng, Salzburg (state), on the 2nd of July 1944 or later, and those, who were imprisoned but survived the Nazi-concentration camps. In the early morning of the 2nd of July 1944 more than 1000 SS- and Gestapo-men came to comb through the small village of Goldegg-Weng looking for men who deserted the German military and their helpers. 14 persons lost their life either on this day in Goldegg-Weng or later in prison or in one of the Nazi-conzentration camps.
Deutsch: Am 8. August 2014 feierlich enthüllte Gedenktafel für die Opfer des sogenannten „Sturm“ in Goldegg im Pongau. Eine Suchaktion von mehr als 1000 Angehörigen von Gestapo und Waffen-SS nach Deserteuren und deren Helfern und Helferinnen am 2. Juli 1944 in Goldegg-Weng, infolge der 14 Personen ihr Leben verloren haben. Sowie für alle, die infolge dieser Aktion in Haft oder KZ-Haft kamen und diese überleben konnten. |
