editDescriptionMemphis Belle pin-up nose art.svg |
English: Reproduction of the pin-up girl painted on the nose of the Memphis Belle B-17 bomber during World War II. The nose art was originally by Corporal Tony Starcer of the 91st Bombardment Group (see here). (I tried to get this drawing as close to the original as possible, basing mainly on this photograph; be aware that the Memphis Belle film logo is not 100% historically accurate.) |
