Description
Latviešu: Mencendorfa nams Vecrīgā. Celts 1695. gadā, līdz pat 1981. gadam bija dzīvojamais nams ar veikalu un noliktavu stāviem. Pirmais īpašnieks: rātskungs un Mazās ģildes vecākais Jirgens Helms. 1981. gadā aizsākti rekonstrukcijas un restaurācijas darbi, kas tika pabeigti 1992. gadā poļu firmas „PKZ” restauratoru izpildījumā un arhitekta Pētera Blūma vadībā. Šobrīd Rīgas vēstures un kuģniecības muzeja filiāle - krājumā ir vairāk nekā 2000 vienību. Ēka nosaukta nama pēdējo īpašnieku (1900.-1939.) – tirgotāju Mencendorfu ģimenes vārdā.
