Scientific Name: Menyanthes trifoliata var. minor Common Name: Buckbean Certainty: positive (notes) Location: Canadian Rockies; Wells Gray Provincial Park; Edgewood Blue Date: 20080528

This hairy devil is an aquatic plant, growing in profusion at the margins of the wetlands here. I believe it is the only representative of its family -- at least in the Pacific Northwest.
