English: The Merveille Ribet is a pear which has the peculiarity to be ripe in December/January. It was Mr. Ribet from Soisy sous Etioles who created this pear with a Passe Crassane. It used to be delivered to the court of Russia. Although to be said a delicious fruit it is not sold anymore as this pear does not fit in the modern commerce: it does not travel well
