Summary edit

Description
English: Transmission electron micrograph of an entangled network of metadislocations in the complex metallic alloy e6-Al-Pd-Mn. Metadislocations are structural defects, formed here by plastic deformation. The metadislocations trail planar defects, mostly occurring in pairs and partly overlapping when seen at an angle. The image was taken on photographic plate, wet chemically developed, and then scanned.
