Summary edit

Description

Debut of the Washington Metro's new 7000-Series railcars on January 6, 2014 at Greenbelt station in Prince George's County, Maryland. This four-car set, numbered 7004-7007, will undergo acceptance testing for several months before entering revenue service.

This photo shows the emergency door release handle on car 7007. The handle is similar to those on Breda (2000 and 3000-Series) and Alstom (6000-Series) railcars, with the main difference's being a smooth finish.
