English: Meyer Manor, (Meyergården in Norwegian) in Oslo, Norway. Wooden building from the 18th century in the former Lille Strandgt. number 4. Bought by Thorvald Meyer`s grandfather Peter Meyer (1745-1801) in 1777. The manor laid across the street from Paléet, where Christian Frederiks plass at Østbanen is today. Later there was a small shop in the building. It was demolished early in the 20th century.
Norsk bokmål: Meyergården i Lille Strandgt. nr. 4, trebygning fra 1700-tallet. Kjøpt av Peter Meyer (1745-1801) i 1777, bestefar til Thorvald Meyer. Gården lå i den nordlige delen av Paléhaven, tvers overfor Paléet, dagens Christian Frederiks plass ved Østbanen. De siste årene var det butikk i første etasje, slik som bildet viser. Revet tidlig på 1900-tallet. |
