This work is in the public domain in the United States because it was published in the United States between 1929 and 1977, inclusive, without a copyright notice. For further explanation, see Commons:Hirtle chart as well as a detailed definition of "publication" for public art. Note that it may still be copyrighted in jurisdictions that do not apply the rule of the shorter term for US works (depending on the date of the author's death), such as Canada (50 p.m.a.), Mainland China (50 p.m.a., not Hong Kong or Macao), Germany (70 p.m.a.), Mexico (100 p.m.a.), Switzerland (70 p.m.a.), and other countries with individual treaties.

It is disputed whether the copyright tag on this file is correct. In some cases this may be because the stated source or other information is not sufficient to prove the selected tag is correct. Reason: The flyer is not from "between 1928 and 1977" as claimed by the use of the template PD-US-no notice. The flyer is from 1988 or later. The text of the flyer quotes an article by Eric McLean. That article was published in the newspaper The Gazette in Montreal on May 21, 1988. Also, the same photo as the one on the flyer was published with that 1988 article and is said to show the subject "today" (i.e. in 1988). A copy of that newspaper article was also uploaded to Commons by the subject, File:Michael Laucke Temporary Farewell For World Tour Montreal Gazette Mclean.jpg, which is convenient to date the flyer, although that copy of the article is probably a copyright violation.
