Summary edit

Description
English: Mick Murphy took a wrong turn and crashed in the 1958 Rás Tailteann. He got another bike and went on to win the race. Later in Tralee Hospital the pain was excruciating and he hallucinated that his body was being snatched by body snatchers. He had taken up cycling just a year earlier and didn't know the routes or the rules of team cycling. He later learned about body building from circus performers and went on to be known as the Iron Man of Irish cycling. This picture was taken when he was 79 outside Kelly's Bar, Cahersiveen, Co Kerry and Mary Ann Kelly's hand is on his shoulder.
