Summary edit

Description

Mihwangsa is a Buddhist temple, established in 749 AD during the Silla Dynasty, located at the southern-most part of the Korean peninsula on the west side of Dalmasan (Dharma Mountain), Haenam County, South Jeolla Province, South Korea.

Mihwang comes from "Mi" (beautiful), after the unusually pleasing, strangely musical bellow of a cow, and "Hwang" (yellow/gold) for golden robes of the mythical founder.
