Description

c/n 024003607 Built around 1975 (exact date unknown) The ‘ML’ was a lightweight variant designed to increase G-loading limit of the airframe and therefore improve dogfighting ability. It was given the NATO reporting name Flogger-G. The Polish colour scheme is entirely false, this is actually an ex Soviet machine which saw no Polish service and last flew as ‘04 red’. It was imported to the UK via Latvia in 1993 and has been on loan to the museum since May 2002 Newark Air Museum Winthorpe, Nottinghamshire, UK
