Description
Deutsch: Östreichischer Militärsattel aus der Zeit um 1900. Das linke Ende des Sattels ist vorne. Das Horn am hinteren Ende dient zum Einschnallen eines Handpferdes.

Das hier abgebildete Exemplar eines Militärsattels ist ein Offizierssattel Ordonnanz 1900 der Schweizer Armee. Er wurde mit dem sog. Offiziers Reitzeug Ord. 00 an alle berittenen Offiziere abgegeben. Auffallend dabei ist die sehr aufwändige Verarbeitung und die Verwendung von erstklassigem Leder, was den effektiven Reiteinsatz selbst von Sätteln aus den 20er und 30er Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts bedenkenlos erlaubt.
