Description
English: This image shows warped shape of Milky Way disk outer parts.

Blue grid shows shape of disk in space while viewed from angle 15° off its plane, which matches with xy plane. Yellow dot marks position of the Sun.

Red contours on xy plane show deviation disk off its plane in kiloparsecs.
Русский: Изображение показывает искривлённую форму внешних частей диска Млечного Пути.

Синяя сетка показывает вид диска под углом 15° к его плоскости. Плоскость диска обозначена как xy. Жёлтая точка указывает положение Солнца.

Контуры красного цвета на плоскости xy показывают отклонение диска от его плоскости в килопарсеках.
